The Light Phone is a simple E-ink phone that is made to be owned by you, not you owned by the phone.
 
Here are the current essential features: calls, texting, group messages, alarm, hotspot, calculator, MP3 player, podcasts, and GPS(Directions). If you are texted a photo, you have an option to forward it automatically to your email.
 
The following optional features are in development: Voice Memo, Calendar Reminder Tool, and GPS Tracking. This phone is child friendly because the Light Phone II will never have a camera, social media, internet browsing, email, news, pictures, or ads.
 
There are Light Phone plans for unlimited call and text and 1 GB of data/hotspot for $34.99/month and unlimited call, text, and data/hotspot usage for $74.99. The Light Phone II is unlocked, so you can use T-Mobile, Verizon (no prepaid), AT&T, Ting, Mint, and US Mobile. The phone uses a 4G Nano-SIM card.
 
The following carriers are not compatible: Sprint, Google Fi, Cricket (coming soon), Spectrum, Red Pocket, Xfinity, Black, H2O, Consumer Cellular, US Cellular, Metro PCS. There are many carrier partners (MVNO's) that are not supported. We cannot supply a complete list.
